Sex isn’t something that disintegrates music’s potency. It can be very sensuous for romantic reasons. I don’t believe that’s always the case for Christian Death- but the whole fun of listening to them is the consciously sleazy lyrics. However there are a lot of other very great songs they have- like this one.
No one has any idea who he is because no one cares. Kids don’t give a flying fuck about how important a band is. Prime example being that AFI, Marilyn Manson, and numerous other widely accepted bands probably wouldnt be around without Christian Death. Maybe not directly, but artists influence artists, and so on and so forth until artists like the aforementioned would make millions pretty much copying another band’s genius.
No sex infact strengthens music’s potency, which is the problem, people think sexual deviance is cool and rebellious, which in turn causes the decay of society
You make a good point, those bands probably wouldn’t be around without the influence of guys like Rozz Williams, which is my point, he’s caused such a massive drop in the quality of music being produced by influencing all this utter shit, it’s all style and image over substance

I’ld say it has more to do with the fact that we have had a monkey for a president the pass 8 years, in a war for oil that, if we had spent maybe even 30% of the money on solar energy research- we’ld probably think of oil energy outdated. It contributes more to the perversity of youth, which decays slowly.
Bands like MM and Christian Death aren’t explicitly promoting just sex, but individuality which was precisely what CD’s genre and sub culture was about. Individuality. Unfortunetly there’s so many people that wanted that indiviuality they made a contradiction of themselves. Also- Who’s more popular, MM or Akon? Christian Death or 50 cent?
Yeah I was agreeing with you, the social decay isn’t limited to simply the USA and not the last 8 years either, it’s been happening for many, many years now, Bush is not the be all and end all of problems in this world, he’s just another minor sympton of a much, much larger ongoing problem
People are stupid, what a band wishes to promote doesn’t come into it, a band can state their intentions a thousand times and people will only ever see what they want to see. Guys like 50 Cent are just an extension of music providing a corrupting influence on todays youth
I’m moving to Canada when I’m 18 if things dont change before than. Gun control, no gay marriage, mass commercialism…. it’s humerous what USA has become- a complete contradiction. Sure, you can be free and have your rights… If your white, gullable, and don’t question the goverment’s motives. =/
People are stupid and don’t deserve to have many rights, which is why we have governments and other such shit, out of the entire human race only about 5% can actually think for themselves, everyone else just follows what the tv tells them
